Tournament Format
16+ players: Swiss League (5–6 rounds)
15 or fewer: Round-robin, group round-robin, Swiss League or suitable format based on attendance.
Final format announced before Round 1.

Prize structure depends on total number of participants. Final prizes announced before Round 1.
May include cash, trophies, medals, certificates, café rewards or special recognition.

The tournament may not be conducted if an insufficient number of players attend. Management's decision regarding tournament conduct, format, postponement or cancellation will be final.

Tournament Rules and Regulations
- Touch-move rules apply. A piece that is touched must be moved (if a legal move exists).
- Players must maintain proper sporting conduct throughout the tournament.
- Electronic assistance (including chess engines) is strictly prohibited.
- Mobile phones must remain switched off or stored according to organiser instructions.
- Pairings will be determined by the organiser or pairing software.
- Tie-break systems will be announced before the tournament begins.
- Illegal-move procedures will be explained before Round 1.
- Players must follow café and venue rules at all times.
- Selected games and participants may be photographed or recorded.
- Management's decision on all matters will be final.
- These are independent club tournaments unless specifically announced as FIDE-rated.
An event should not be described as FIDE-rated unless official rating approval has been confirmed and specifically announced.
